Potato Quest
This project is still in active development. The version that you can play right now is a demo, intended to show off the basic feel of the yet-to-be-finished game.

Save the world of the vegetables from an alien invasion in this cozy platforming experience where you take the form of a disgruntled potato. Navigate challenging platforms and collect alien artifacts to progress towards the end goal!
Controls
You can either use a keyboard or a gamepad to play, the choice is yours. If you feel like the default control scheme doesn't work for you, feel free to tweak it to your heart's content in the options menu.
- Move up: W / D-Pad Up / Left Stick Up
- Move down: S / D-Pad Down / Left Stick Down
- Move left: A / D-Pad Left / Left Stick Left
- Move right: D / D-Pad Right / Left Stick Right
- Jump: Space / Bottom Button
- Run: Shift / Left Button
- Dash: S / Left Trigger / Left Shoulder
After mastering the basic controls, try experimenting with various combinations like exiting a dash early via a jump in order to gain a mid-air speed boost!

Have fun and thank you for playing!

This is neat! I like how the game lets you choose your own adventure once you start the level. It would be really cool if you expanded on that in the top-down level selection portion and had it so players could find secret levels or hidden objects while they are walking around. I also really like how the movement feels during the platforming portion, it's really smooth. I'm excited to see how this game develops!
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it! The level selection screen has a lot of potential for fun content as you said, I already have some stuff planned for the final release :)
